Welcome to my site
Msgr. Pat at Wahclella Falls in the Columbia River Gorge, Oregon
For some time I have wanted to share my photos with family and friends. Until now, most of my pictures have been only mine to enjoy. With this website I hope to change that. The pictures on these pages were taken with a variety of cameras, starting with my first digital camera—a 2.0 megapixel Olympus Brio in 2001—to the Canon G7X II, the full-frame Canon 6D, and my most recent camera, the EOS M6 Mark II. But no matter the camera, I have found that composition is really what makes a great picture. In fact, some of my best pictures were taken with a simple point and shoot camera (I sometimes take pictures with my iPhone, but I prefer a camera). The picture at the upper left was taken at Wahclella Falls in the Columbia River Gorge with my Canon M6 Mark II. I use Lightroom and ON1 to develop and enhance the pictures.
Over the past year I have taken very few pictures because of the pandemic, and I have not worked much on this website. This past year, 2022, I did get away on a couple of trips to Nevada and to Wyoming (Grand Teton), and I will be posting some pictures soon.
I retired from my position of pastor at St. Mary's Cathedral in June of 2021, and this has given me more time to devote to photography and to this website. Check back every now and again for changes and postings.

Prayer in Time of Virus
O Mary of the Immaculate Conception, patroness of our country, our archdiocese, our cathedral, we turn to you in time of sorrow and tribulation. Protect our families, our friends, our fellow citizens, and all people throughout the world. For those afflicted with illness, bring the grace of healing and deliverance. For those who are vulnerable and fearful, give them courage and strengthen their faith. In this time of trial and testing, keep us close to one another, help us to be patient and kind, make us instruments of your peace. O Mary, compassionate mother, shelter us in the mantle of your protection. Wipe away our tears; free us from distress. Help us always to know the love of your Son, Jesus, who is Lord, forever and ever. Amen Msgr. Patrick S. Brennan |
